Easy to Read but Lacks Low-voltage DC Resolution
This dual-display panel meter works as advertised and has large, bright, easy-to-read red and green numerals. The AC voltage reading was very accurate on the meter I received, but the DC reading was 2 volts off at 30v. While not recommended for the fainthearted, the snap-together case can be opened and the circuit board removed to access trim pots that allow the AC and DC displays to be calibrated. My only negative comment is that the large DC voltage range is not auto-ranging, even though each digit display has a decimal point that could be used to show tenths or hundredths of a volt at lower ranges. For a high-voltage power supply of several hundred volts where a whole-number display would be appropriate, this would be an excellent meter having the added benefit of simultaneously monitoring AC line voltage. The whole-number DC display makes it much less useful as a 12v, 24v, or 48v battery system monitor.
